It’s 2010 and Duncan is celebrating it’s 80+ years of heritage by touring the United States. For many years Duncan has had touring demonstrators traveling the globe and we are celebrating this tradition by traveling the United States performing and holding local yo-yo contests like those remembered by many.
Countless numbers of people remember the “Duncan Yo-Yo Man” that would come to their town in their youth. These professionals would come to town and teach yo-yo tricks to children of all ages. At end of the week they would hold local contests at toy stores, drug store’s and schools. Often the winners would receive a brand new Schwinn bicycle!
Duncan is following this tradition by performing daily at various retailers and locations building up to a weekly contest where the winner will receive a brand new Schwinn bicycle!
Along this tour, Duncan will be will be meeting with many past Duncan Yo-Yo Professionals and documenting their stories and history. Some of these professionals will attend demonstrations, and will be official judges at the weekly contests. These professionals are major part of Duncan’s heritage and it is truly an honor to have them involved with the Heritage Tour.
Over the past 80 years Yo-Yo play has progressed to a level never imagined and Duncan is proud to show the world what yo-yo play has become. The Heritage Tour will have performances by Duncan Crew Worldwide members Takeshi, Hank Freeman, Jack Ringca, Drew Tetz and appearances by past Duncan Yo-Yo Professionals in select cities.
